The Space

This Property was featured in the New York Times! The first thing you’ll notice about this property is the amount of intricate detail in every aspect of the house. From the elegant Spanish-inspired porch to the carefully crafted walnut staircase, this house is one-of-a-kind. The open-plan living room is the ideal place to relax after a busy day of exploring Charleston with its comfortable furniture. The living room leads to the dining area furnished with an antique chandelier and beautifully stained windows. The dining table can seat up to six people. There is also a half bathroom on the ground level for your convenience. The fully-equipped modern kitchen adjacent to the dining room is where you can whip up a gourmet meal for you and your loved ones. It includes all major kitchen appliances including a large fridge-freezer and dishwasher. The luxurious master bedroom includes a private ensuite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub. The queen-size bed has soft linens that you can sink into after a long day. The two guest bedrooms are located on the third floor and offer picturesque views of Charleston. The first guest room features a queen-size bed, while the second guest room has two twin beds. A shared guest bathroom is located in the hallway. GUEST ACCESS This property features Concierge Services, and Guests will have access to everything in the house. Parking is provided for 1 car in the driveway.

Guests will have exclusive access to the 3 floors of the building. Easily accessible and well lit for your safety. You can pull your car off the street and into a driveway/parking lot, which makes packing and unpacking a breeze.

Our team can provide self- check-in instructions for your convenience. If you need anything at all, we can be reached via text or phone. Our 5* hosting services company, StayDuvet, will be on hand throughout your stay; from checking you in, to giving you recommendations for things to do, and can direct you to the best local things-to-do such as water-sports, boat rentals, massages, private chefs, helicopter rides, walking tours, and ghost tours. Each guest is also provided with a special visitor guide designed for them so they can discover the best things to do and see. Other Things to Note

Our Housekeeping Team members clean and sanitize all hard surfaces of our vacation homes, including but not limited to floors, countertops, railings, sink faucets, appliances, doorknobs, and light switches. The quality of disinfectants we use should remove 100 percent of the microscopic organisms on surfaces, and effectively stop the spread of disease and viruses. Linens and towels are laundered offsite at our linen facility. There is no evidence to suggest that this particular coronavirus will survive the wash chemistry and temperatures in the wash and dry process. All soiled linens are treated as if they are contaminated. Our housekeeping staff is trained to use the best hygiene practices at all times. Unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do about the resulting noise or the current, cosmetic state of some neighboring buildings. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary, and cultural vacation. I love traveling, my family, my dog, green tea, coffee, sushi, making music, nutrition, reading, meeting new people, and living life to the fullest. I work for Yelp and put on public events in Charleston. I've lived in Atlanta, GA; Los Angeles, CA; Jupiter, FL; Chattanooga, TN; New Haven, CT; Athens, GA; and now I live in Charleston, SC and NEVER want to leave. I live by the motto "Leave nothing behind but good will". I'm a big believer in karma and care about quality control in what I do. I hope to not only be a good host, but your friend and guide (if needed) during your stay here in the best city in America :) I want you to also see whats good in the locals eyes and not just what is marketed to the tourists.

Great location, great house, super comfortable. Hosts provided everything. Easy check-in. Mere blocks from King street. We walked and biked everywhere. Highly recommend. Pay attention to the parking info - only one space directly outside front door; I was able to park my full size pickup truck using patience and a 6-point turn, but if you're not super parking skilled, you might get some scrapes.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The location is very good. A very quick walk to many great places on upper King, and also several neighborhood gems that also happen to be amongst the best places in the city. Easy driving just about everywhere you want to go. Kitchen is well stocked, and the house is lovely. We traveled with two kids, and as has been said it’s not the ideal house for kids due to the steep stairs, but it’s certainly doable. Our kids did fine with them. The parking spot is tight, but we have a large SUV and got in and out several times a day without too much trouble. The communication and service with the concierge are outstanding, and they addressed any issues or questions we had. The downsides of the house are the sounds/noise. The guest/kid rooms are located above the master. It’s a old house, and any movement, walking, flushing the toilet, etc is loudly heard. The beds are extremely creaky. In the master, rolling in bed or getting out of bed can easily wake up the sleeping partner. The bed frame in the room with two singles is so loud we had to put the mattresses on the floor so the kids could sleep. The creaking could actually be heard in the master bedroom with doors closed. Maybe if you’re a very heavy sleeper or don’t care about these noises this would not be dealbreaker, but at this price point the beds should not be in this state.
