Vacation in luxury at our beautiful 2-story home, ‘Tropic Thunder’. This stay is perfect for groups of up to 16 people with 8 bedrooms, 4 full baths - providing ample room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. ‘Tropic Thunder’ features a private entrance/exit located right off of President Street, so parking and proximity are not an issue! This stay features four separate units which have been combined to make one larger unit for large groups/families - each unit features its own entrance which can all be accessed from the front door. From the living areas to the bedrooms, we have strived to infuse our boho-chic style into your stay, and we hope you enjoy this space as much as we do! Unit 1 (A) As soon as you walk through the front door, you’ll be immersed in the bright open floor plan of the combined living/dining/kitchen area - the perfect place to share a meal or kick back and watch a movie together on the large HDTV featuring a DirectTV subscription. For your convenience, the kitchen also comes fully equipped with basic cooking/kitchenware and brand-new state-of-the-art appliances. The adjoining dining area includes seating for 5 at the island counter, so there's plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. In addition to the living areas, both bedrooms are located right down the hall. The master bedroom features a plush king-size bed and plenty of closet space to store your belongings. While, the second bedroom has been adorned with a comfortable queen-size bed and adorable seafoam green walls (one of our favorite colors, as you can tell from the rest of the space). The seafoam green continues to the newly-renovated full bathroom located in the hall - featuring a spacious walk-in shower. Unit 2 (B) As you step inside to the bright and airy open concept living/dining/kitchen area, you will feel as if you stepped inside a modern bohemian dream. The living area features plenty of seating including a large sofa and two lounge chairs - the perfect place to kick back and watch a movie on the large HDTV, featuring a DirectTV subscription for your convenience. The attached dining space includes a dining table with seating for 4 and the cutest wall accents to brighten your mood. Over in the kitchen, you will find that all your basic cooking/kitchenware needs have been fully stocked, so you’ll have everything you need to make the perfect meal (or if you’re not feeling cooking, you can check out some of the great restaurants nearby). Just off of the kitchen area, you will also have a full washer/dryer set in case you decide to do a load while you’re here. Both bedrooms are located right down the hall from the living spaces - each room features a spacious king-size bed for your comfort and all the boho decor your heart could desire. Last but certainly not least, there is a full bathroom in the hallway to be shared between the two bedrooms. This space has been recently renovated and now features a walk-in shower and dual sinks. Unit 3 (C) The bright and airy open concept living/dining/kitchen area will meet you at the door - featuring plenty of seating and a large HD TV with a Direct TV subscription for your convenience. The kitchen area has been stocked with all your basic cooking/kitchenware needs for cooking the perfect meal. At the counter, you will find high-top seating for 5 - the perfect place to share your home-cooked dish with the crew. Just off of the kitchen area, you will also find a full washer/dryer set in case you decide to do a load while you’re here. Both bedrooms are just down the hall from the living spaces. The master bedroom features large double doors, a comfortable king-size bed, and plenty of closet space for you to unpack your things. The second bedroom has also been adorned with a plush king-size bed and the cutest little desk in case you may need to do some work while you’re here (or if not, to use as storage space). Back in the hallway, there is a full bathroom to be shared between the two bedrooms - this space has been recently renovated and now features a walk-in shower and chic new accents. While quaint, “The Cub” has so much to offer including everything you need to have a great stay and more. Unit 4 (D) As you step inside to the bright and airy open concept living/dining/kitchen area, you will feel as if you stepped into paradise. The living area features plenty of seating including a large sofa and two lounge chairs - the perfect place to kick back and watch a movie on the large HDTV, featuring a DirectTV subscription for your convenience. The attached dining space includes a dining table with seating for 4 and the cutest wall accents to brighten your mood. Guests will have exclusive access to all 4 units spanning the 1st and 2nd floors of the building. Easily accessible and well lit for your safety. You can pull your car off the street and into a driveway or gated lot, which makes packing and unpacking a breeze.
Our team can provide self- check-in instructions for your convenience. If you need anything at all, we can be reached via text or phone. Our 5* hosting services company, StayDuvet, will be on hand throughout your stay; from checking you in, to giving you recommendations for things to do, and can direct you to the best local things-to-do such as water-sports, boat rentals, massages, private chefs, helicopter rides, walking tours, and ghost tours. Great stay! Loved the location We walked to King street multiple times, hit so many beaches within easy driving distance. Feel like pie at 10:30 pm? No problem!! 4 separate units .. there are no common areas, unless you meet in the living rooms in any of these 4 units Bedrooms very good sizes and comfortable beds Bathrooms also very big Kitchens .. no exhaust fans, and the windows were mostly painted shut so that was quite an experience Loved Charleston and this was a great place to enjoy it from
Quinn was a nice enough guy and worked hard to solve what issues we had during our stay. The furniture was cheap and easily breakable, which led to a dispute after our stay.
We arrived in Charleston from Chicago without a place to stay as our initial reservation from a DIFFERENT host was canceled the night prior to our arrival. Thankfully, Quinn was able to accomodate our last minute request to stay at his place. Quinn was incredibly responsive and helpful to get us situated within the suite. The Suite was clean, well organized, and spacious. The units were within walking distance of King Street (about a 15 minute walk). Quinn's flexibility to our situation provided us with an incredible and memorable weekend in Charleston!
