Welcome to The Preserve! Harleston House is the first of a four property luxury compound designed for small to large groups looking to enjoy all that downtown Charleston has to offer. The Preserve is 5 blocks from King Street and includes four historic Charleston homes that have been fully renovated to restore the exterior classic Charleston charm while upgrading the interiors to be modern and luxurious. Each floor is equipped with high-end, open kitchens, comfortable bedrooms with en-suite luxurious bathrooms with rain showers, and outdoor space that includes bluestone patios. The ‘Harleston House’ was named after “Harleston Green”, the first golf club in the United States, established by Scottish merchants in 1786 just five blocks south of where this property sits today. ‘Harleston House’ spans 2 levels, with 2 historic Charleston-style piazzas and has been newly renovated and refurbished to meet all your vacation wants and needs. Guests will enjoy the bright and open design as well as the convenience of being within walking distance to countless restaurants, shopping, and historical sights. With its ample space, amenities, and coastal-contemporary style design, this house perfectly reflects the charm of both modern and historic Charleston. Throughout the property guests will find beautiful hardwood flooring, chic décor & lighting, original brick fireplaces, high ceilings with exposed beams, stylish furniture, brand new appliances and much more. The property features…. *Off-Street Parking. Located in the beautiful Cannonborough/Elliotborough, with allocated off-street spots that accommodate up to 2 vehicles. Parking and unloading will be the least of your worries. *A Large Porch and Second Floor Balcony. The large porch is located on the first level toward the backside of the house. It has 2 outdoor club chairs, an accent table, coffee table and a outdoor sofa. The second floor balcony, accessible by the upstairs lounge space, features an outdoor sofa, coffee table and two outdoor club chairs with a small table. Here you will also find a large outdoor dining table with bench seating, making it the perfect place to soak in the beautiful Charleston weather while having cocktails or a home-cooked meal together. The pool is heated to 82 degrees during the colder months for your enjoyment. *A Living Room/Lounge Space with Dining on BOTH Levels. The living room/lounge space on the first floor features a large Restoration Hardware sofa that pulls out to become a queen bed, two side tables with lamps, a club chair, a rectangular coffee table, large wall mirror, and a 55 inch flat-screen TV mounted on the wall above a console table. Here you will also find a round dining table with seating for 4 beneath a stylish light fixture. The spacious second floor living room space boasts high vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and features another large Restoration Hardware sofa that pulls out to become a queen bed, two side tables with lamps, a long rectangular coffee table, two rattan club chairs with an accent table between, and a large 55 inch flat-screen TV mounted on the wall above an elongated console table. Open to this living room is the dining space and the fully-equipped second floor kitchen. The solid wood, rectangular dining table with seating for 8 guests, is located in the open space between this kitchen and living room, making it perfect for large groups to spend time with one another. *A Fully-Equipped Kitchen on BOTH Levels. The kitchens, one on each level, are both open to the living rooms/lounge areas. Each boast white quartz countertops, and come fully-equipped with brand new Whirlpool appliances including an oven, gas stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal, and a large refrigerator/freezer with a water distiller & ice-maker. Each kitchen also includes plenty of cabinet space, a coffee maker, toaster, knife block, as well as basic cookware, glassware, and dishware. *Washer and Dryer located in the hallway closet on the 2nd level for guest use. *Each living space and bedroom has a new Sony Smart TV equipped with Hulu Live TV along with your favorite applications such as Netflix, Amazon, Disney+ and others. Such a great stay. The location was near king street where all the night life is. The house was spacious, clean, had a cool spa pool/patio, and they also accommodated an early check in for us. It is also worth mentioning that every bedroom has its own bathroom, which is a huge plus. Would definitely return again!

Beautiful, central, and clean location for those looking to stay in Charleston! Parking was included which was quite useful given the strict parking laws. Note there are two connected units so you can rent out both, or just one, and it's pet friendly! I'd recommend booking directly through their website as we unknowingly paid a 38% premium by booking through Airbnb — pricey, but we needed a large place to stay for a family wedding.
