The Space

This two-bedroom apartment has been beautifully designed with no expense spared. We have kept many of the original features of the building – including high ceilings and heart pine floors – but added luxury furnishings including granite workshops in the kitchen and luxurious bedding with memory foam in the living area. The property features: A bedroom with a large TV, and a king-size bed with luxury bed linen. A guest bedroom with two twin beds and an en-suite bathroom. An open-plan kitchen and living area. The fully-equipped kitchen features a large fridge-freezer with ice dispenser, a dishwasher and a coffee maker. The lounge area has a luxury sofa with plush chairs, and a great spot to curl up with a book or watch a film on the large TV. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, which is rare in Charleston. Access to your own large private outdoor porch A laundry area with a washer and dryer.

Guests will have exclusive access to the 1st floors of the building thought the front door. Its Easily accessible and well lit for your safety. You can pull your car on the street to unload. It is metered parking our front.

During your stay, this shouldn’t be too bothersome, since the city’s noise ordinance dictates quiet hours between 10pm & 8am. 10+ Day Stays are subject to an additional cleaning fee at host's discretion Please use painters tape if you plan on using tape to decorate for an event. If the wall is damaged due to tape removal or decorations, you will have to pay $500 for repainting. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE!!!

Some local favorites include, Kitchen 208, Millers All Day, Sweetwater Cafe, Charleston Grill, Fulton Five, The Watch Rooftop Kitchen, or Christophe Artisan Chocolatier for the most delicious chocolate almond croissant.

I am an avid AirBnB user, I always like to know the negatives before I arrive so I know what to expect. The cleaning is superficial: sheets and towels are very clean, but the entire home needs a good deep cleaning. The remote controls for the TV were filthy; the walls in the back bathroom are visibly covered with dirt and hand smudges; the back shower head is taped on with painters tape; and the floors need to be cleaned, not just swept. The back bedroom and bath are ok to put children in, but if a 2nd couple is staying here, this 2nd bedroom is not even close to the quality of the main bedroom. If I went here with a 2nd couple I would feel that the couple getting the main bedroom should pay 75% of the cost as the 2nd bedroom is "second class". In addition, a clearly-defective refrigerator sounded a siren at 2pm and then again at 5am our first night causing the fire department to arrive and my elderly mother and I to be standing out on the street in our bedclothes while they scanned for possible CO2 leak. Then the owner refused to refund the fee for our first, horrible, night and only issued a partial refund. The positives are the location--which is perfect for ANYTHING you want to do in Charleston, we were able to walk everywhere (except the airport, naturally) and the safety of the neighborhood, which still felt ok, even at 2am--as we discovered. The house itself is also a traditional historic style with the piazza on the side with a patio and the main bedroom is stunningly decorated and extremely authentic. This was definitely not my best airbnb experience, but the location is so good that if your circumstances are right, it could be a great fit for you.

The house on Society St. was a lovely Charleston home, including the side porch. All the amenities you would want or need are included. The location is perfect for shopping King St. Don’t miss the French pastry and coffee shop just a few doors down. There is also a popular wine bar right next door. We always felt safe in this neighborhood and would definitely return in a future visit.
