The Space

Our spacious 2-floor multi-family home, ‘Southern Shangri-La’, is ideal for groups of 16-20 guests (air mattresses can be made available upon request for 2 additional guests per unit) with 8 bedrooms, 4 full baths. Located just off of Coming Street, location and parking won't be an issue here! Accessed by its own entrance/exit, and up (interior) stairs, Shangri-La features four privately accessed 2-bedroom apartments, each with an open floor plan that accommodates both dining and lounge space, making it great for groups looking to spend time together or enjoy a meal. Spacious and cozy living rooms with high vaulted ceilings. 4 of the 8 bedrooms are located on the first level, with with the other 4 on the second level. Each of these bedrooms with its own Queen sized bed. Smart TVs in each living room, our team provides basic login credentials, so feel free to use your own during your stay. Guest Access

Guests will have exclusive access to the 1st and 2nd floors of the building. Easily accessible and well lit for your safety. You can pull your cars off the street and into a driveway/parking lot, which makes packing and unpacking a breeze.

Interaction with Guests

Our team can provide self- check-in instructions for your convenience, or we can arrange for someone to meet you at the door if you prefer. If you need anything at all, we can be reached via text or phone. Our 5* hosting services company, StayDuvet, will be on hand throughout your stay; from checking you in, to giving you recommendations for things to do. They also have a concierge service and can organize activities such as water-sports, boat rentals, massages, private chefs, helicopter rides, walking tours, and ghost tours. Each guest is also provided with a special visitor guide designed for them so they can discover the best things to do and see. Room Service (Downtown Properties Only): Stay Duvet is proud to offer Room Service provided by Babas on Cannon. We offer a wide selection ranging from breakfast, lunch, pantry staples, bottled wine, cocktails, and beer. Guests are also responsible for following the City of Charleston's Ordinance rules under Section 54-227. Our city is growing quickly. With that growth comes construction. Unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do about the resulting noise or the current, cosmetic state of some neighboring buildings. During your stay, this shouldn’t be too bothersome, since the city’s noise ordinance dictates quiet hours between 10pm & 8am. 10+ Day Stays are subject to an additional cleaning fee at host's discretion THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE!!!

Cannonborough/Elliotborough: The house is located in the heart of the charming and trendy Cannonborough/Elliotborough district of downtown Charleston. With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree-lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston’s classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include The Ordinary, The Grocery, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Ice Bing, Goulette, The Jetty, Five Loaves café, R Kitchen, Poke San, Pink Cactus, and the Warehouse for drinks. Our guests and neighbors also rave about Brown's Court Bakery and Sugar Bakery located nearby. We recommend going to 132 Spring or Babas for a cup of locally-roasted coffee and their delicious cookies and cakes. Owner Story

Things to know about us. Will and I were both born and raised in Charleston, SC. Will graduated from VMI and I graduated from SMU. More importantly, we love to surf and travel. After graduating college we moved to Australia and worked for a year. During that year we surfed a lot, converted our VW into a camper van and traveled Australia. Upon expiration of our visas we sold our van and used the money to travel through Indonesia where we surfed some of the best waves we’ve ever experienced. These travel experiences are what inspired us to also own an Airbnb and help people to enjoy their stays to the fullest potential. We formed some of the best relationships staying in Airbnb’s and meeting people from all over the world. We now live full time in Charleston and get away when possible. We primarily work in real estate, so if you have any questions or interests in the area we can offer our help.
