This apartment is located on the 1st floor of a two story home. Full kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Included in the rental is one, off-street parking space. There is ongoing construction behind the rental on a new rental property. Construction should be kept to weekdays but potentially on some weekends as well.
The suite has 2 bedrooms and one bath. Including a remodeled kitchen. The bedrooms are set at either end of the apartment giving guest privacy for each other during their stay. The bathroom has just been fully renovated and features a tub with shower and tiled floors. The furnishings include a mix of antiques and modern furniture. There is a king-size bed in each bedroom. Each room will have a 50 inch smart TV. The kitchen is well stocked for those who choose to eat in. The unit has a private porch and a door that locks to the street giving you added safety on the porch. You'll find luxury linens on the King beds along with a pull-out sofa (sheets must be requested in advance). Enjoy the abundance of natural light throughout the house and feel the breeze on the wonderful porches.

This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Hominy Grill, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Goulette, Five Loaves café, R Kitchen and the Warehouse for drinks. Our guests and neighbors also rave about Wildflower Pastry located nearby. We recommend going here for a cup of locally-roasted coffee and the delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as buzzing restaurants.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay at the property personally due to Covid reasons, but my friends had nothing but great things to share! Great location, adorable place. Hoping to have a chance to visit again soon!
We had a very nice stay in King In Five with our family over Memorial Day weekend. You should be aware when renting this property that despite having a nice and fully functioning kitchen, it doesn’t have a permanent eating area. There is a table that can be set up in the tv room if needed, but it isn’t convenient. Overall, the property could use a little TLC. We had issues with the upstairs guest not only occupying their parking spot, but also occupying our spot at the same time (each Suite is permitted only 1 parking spot). StayDuvet was easy to get a hold of and responded immediately when we contacted them concerning our parking issues. Unfortunately, however, the upstairs guest left their second vehicle in our designated parking spot for the first 2 days of our stay. All of the sights of downtown Charleston are easily accessible from this location, but definitely make sure to bring your walking shoes.
While the home is lovely, it’s very small. Back door was unlocked and wide open when we arrived which was very concerning. When we contacted the mgmt co, they’re only response was that it was unacceptable and they will speak with the cleaning team. We also received a text from the mgmt team the day after we checked it to tell us there would be construction in the back in 2 days. The construction team of 6 showed up before dawn at 5:00 am wearing headlamps. That was proceeded by 10 cement truck loads right next to the bedroom window. Regardless to say no sleeping in on vacation.
