The Space

Our home is a Charleston Duplex with a Certificate of Occupancy located in one of the best neighborhoods in Charleston (Please check our Walker's Score of 92 in our pictures). William and I offer the top floor to our guest which is completely separate from the downstairs unit, so you will need to use the exterior metal staircase in the driveway to access your unit (please be careful while on the stairs and on the porch! Do not lean on the railings!). We live in the bottom unit and have two dogs, Folly the Corgi and Rex the Cavichon, which you will see now and again. Please shut gates and doors to the property when you enter and leave so that the dogs will not escape because they WILL try. Also please be respectful of our home, we want everyone to enjoy their stay but please be mindful of our neighbors and us below. This is our personal property and we have decorated it with personal belongings and pieces that we have collected throughout our travels around the world. This neighborhood includes people of all ages and walks of life, so please be respectful with noise levels when on the porch and act in accordance with city noise ordinances. Lastly please enjoy the property, our main goal is for all our guests to enjoy and explore this beautiful city!

Guests have access to the entire top floor and parking. Please keep gates and doors closed when entering and leaving the property.

Our team can provide self- check-in instructions for your convenience. If you need anything at all, we can be reached via text or phone. Our 5* hosting services company, StayDuvet, will be on hand throughout your stay; from checking you in, to giving you recommendations for things to do, and can direct you to the best local things-to-do such as water-sports, boat rentals, massages, private chefs, helicopter rides, walking tours, and ghost tours. Each guest is also provided with a special visitor guide designed for them so they can discover the best things to do and see. Room Service (Downtown Properties Only): Stay Duvet is proud to offer Room Service provided by Babas on Cannon. We offer a wide selection ranging from breakfast, lunch, pantry staples, bottled wine, cocktails, and beer. During months where there is a potential for inclement weather, such as hurricane season, we strongly suggest travelers obtain insurance. No Smoking Allowed. Violators will be fined for in-room smoke damages. Smoking is ONLY permitted outside of the property, but please try to keep at least 10 feet from the doors to keep smoke from trailing inside. Firearms are not allowed in any of our private residences. This is a licensed and legal Short Term Rental. Neighborhood quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. If violated the city will issue a $1047 fine. Guests are also responsible for following the City of Charleston's Ordinance rules under Section 54-227. Our city is growing quickly. With that growth comes construction. Unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do about the resulting noise or the current, cosmetic state of some neighboring buildings. During your stay, this shouldn’t be too bothersome, since the city’s noise ordinance dictates quiet hours between 10pm & 8am. 10+ Day Stays are subject to an additional cleaning fee at host's discretion Please use painters tape if you plan on using tape to decorate for an event. If the wall is damaged due to tape removal or decorations, you will have to pay $500 for repainting. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE!!!

With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree-lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston’s classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary, and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include The Ordinary, The Grocery, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Bistronomy, Ice Bing, Goulette, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish, Pink Cactus, and the Warehouse for drinks. Our guests and neighbors also rave about Brown's Court Bakery and Sugar Bakery located nearby. We recommend going to Babas for a cup of locally-roasted coffee and their delicious cookies and cakes. Owner Story

Things to know about us. Will and I were both born and raised in Charleston, SC. Will graduated from VMI and I graduated from SMU. More importantly, we love to surf and travel. After graduating college we moved to Australia and worked for a year. During that year we surfed a lot, converted our VW into a camper van and traveled Australia. Upon expiration of our visas we sold our van and used the money to travel through Indonesia where we surfed some of the best waves we’ve ever experienced. These travel experiences are what inspired us to also own an Airbnb and help people to enjoy their stays to the fullest potential. We formed some of the best relationships staying in Airbnb’s and meeting people from all over the world. We now live full time in Charleston and get away when possible. We primarily work in real estate, so if you have any questions or interests in the area we can offer our help.

IMPORTANT - This is Airbnb is not meant to be a party spot! - There are a total of 4 apartments in the building so we just ask that you try to be respectful of other guests when in the hallway/entering the building and listening to music so PLEASE be mindful of the noise. - If you see other guests in passing please say hello and be friendly.
