The Space

Capt. Morgan's beach house, with its 3 floors and 5 bedrooms, is perfect for accommodating groups of 5-11 guests. Located on East Ashley Ave directly across the street from the beach access to Folly Beach, location and parking on the property will accommodate 2 small vehicles under the carport and one large vehicle out front. Street parking is also available for guests and extra cars, just make sure to pull all the way off the pavement. The home can be accessed up the front ramp. You'll enter into the sunroom, which has a large screen tv equipped with popular streaming services. As you move through the open floor-plan into the kitchen, you'll pass a cozy seating area centered around a gas fireplace. The kitchen acts as the central hub of the house. With its high vaulted ceilings, large dining table for 10, as well as plenty of seating around the center island, the kitchen effortlessly accommodates the whole party while still feeling spacious. Here you'll find a well-outfitted kitchen for anything you might think of whipping up. The sliding door opens up to a back patio with propane grill, a comfortable outdoor seating area, as well as an outdoor dining table equipped with a large umbrella to provide ample shade- just make sure to put it down when not in use so the wind doesn't blow it away. Back inside, two of the home’s five bedrooms can be found down the hallway on this floor. Each bedroom in the house is equipped with its own flatscreen SmartTV- feel free to log in to any of the provided apps with your own accounts. On the left side of the hallway you’ll find the master bedroom. Walking past the king bed, you’ll find the ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, large shower, impeccable views of the marsh, and private balcony. Across the hall you’ll find the 2nd bedroom, with a queen bed. The first floor bathroom is located next to the second bedroom, and has its own walk-in shower. Up the stairs you’ll find a bedroom with a king bed, twin daybed, a dresser and plenty of room to hang your clothes. Down the stairs, passing the first floor landing, you make your way down to the ground floor. Here you’ll find the stackable washer/dryer as well as the final two bedrooms. The bedroom on the right provides an ideal place for reading with a queen bed surrounded by a built in bookshelf and ample lighting. The last bedroom has two cozy twin beds and opens up to the back yard and porch swing. Heading back towards the staircase, you’ll find a door leading out to the designated parking area as well as the outdoor shower. Walking past the stairs that lead to the kitchen patio, you’ll find the dock. With stellar views of the Morris island lighthouse and Ravenel Bridge, this might become your go-to spot to start your mornings and end your evenings. Please note that primary bedrooms fireplace will not be operable until it is replaced in January.

Interaction with Guests

Our team can provide self-check-in instructions for your convenience, or we can arrange for someone to meet you at the door if you prefer. If you need anything at all, we can be reached via text or phone. Our 5* hosting services company, StayDuvet, will be on hand throughout your stay; from checking you in, to giving you recommendations for things to do. They also have a concierge service and can organize activities such as water-sports, boat rentals, massages, private chefs, helicopter rides, walking tours, and ghost tours. Each guest is also provided with a special visitor guide designed for them so they can discover the best things to do and see.

Firearms are not allowed in any of our private residences. This is a licensed and legal Short Term Rental. Neighborhood quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. If violated the city will issue a $1047 fine. Guests are also responsible for following the City of Folly's Ordinance rules. 10+ Day Stays are subject to an additional cleaning fee at host's discretion Please use painters tape if you plan on using tape to decorate for an event. If the wall is damaged due to tape removal or decorations, you will have to pay $500 for repainting. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE!!!
