Welcome to the Eastside! The house is located in the quiet neighborhood of Eastside, away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. You’re still within walking distance of Charleston’s main attractions but you’ll be able to return to a peaceful neighborhood at the end of the day. It’s an up-and-coming part of town that has new restaurants and bars popping up on every corner! Some of the local eateries will be Mercantile & Mash, Rappahannock Oyster Bar and Taco Boy! Just a 15-minute walk from the house is upper King Street where you’ll find plenty of exciting bars, gourmet restaurants, and unique shops to visit. This popular area is a great place to start your adventure.

Policies

There are long-term leasers that live in the upstairs apartment that are aware that there might be guests at any time, so please be mindful of them and they will do the same. Noise is HIGHLY monitored and will quickly notify guests if it becomes an issue.

Check-In Time: 4:00 PM Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM Cancellation Policy: 100% refund (minus service fees) if canceled more than 30 days prior to the day of check-in. A 50% refund will be honored if canceled between 7 and 30 days prior to check-in. No refund will be provided for any bookings canceled less than 7 days prior to check-in.

The place and location were nice. The hosts were extremely unresponsive. Once we arrived, we realized that they didn’t provide a parking pass for our one vehicle. The check-in instructions that we received prior had only mentioned additional actions on our end if we had more than 1 vehicle beyond a 3 night stay. Because there were signs for Towing Vehicles outside of the house, we were concerned that our car would be towed. We messaged the hosts numerous times and waited hours for a response. After not receiving any response, we had to call the StayDuvet’s customer service support multiple times get a parking pass for our one vehicle. We were told that they didn’t mark that we had any vehicles, so they said they would send someone out to give us a parking pass. After the guy finally brought the parking passes, we realized he only gave us passes for 2 days, even though we stayed for 3 nights. The check-in process was extremely frustrating because of this.

Great location. Close to restaurants and bars. Pictures could be a little deceiving. The putting green isn’t as nice as they are on the pictures, parking can be a bit of a hassle(but pretty typical of Charleston as a whole), and furniture was a bit uncomfortable.
